Estura

Privacy Policy

Effective June 18, 2026

Estura is a desktop application built around a simple principle: your work stays on your machine. This policy explains the little data that is involved in running and selling the app, and what we deliberately never collect.

The short version

Estura runs locally on your computer. Your canvases, generated images, videos and audio, and your provider API keys are stored on your own device — not on our servers, because Estura has no server that holds your content.

We do not run analytics, telemetry, tracking, or crash reporting inside the app. We don't have an Estura account system, so there's no profile of you to build.

The only personal data that exists is what's needed to verify your purchase and answer your emails — handled by Apple and described below.

What stays on your device

API keys: the keys you enter for your model provider(s) are stored encrypted on your device using macOS Keychain. They are sent only to that provider when you generate, and never to us.

Your content: prompts, generated media, projects and canvases live in local files and a local database on your computer. We have no copy.

Because of this design, when you generate something, your prompt and inputs go directly from your machine to the model provider whose key you supplied. Their handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policy.

When the app connects to the internet

Estura has no backend of its own and does not "phone home." The app makes network requests only in these cases, all initiated by you:

• To your model provider, using the key you configured, to run a generation and download the result.

• To open a provider's website in your browser when you click a "get an API key" link.

• To load our website (estura.ai) when you follow a link to help or documentation.

That's the complete list. There is no telemetry, no analytics, and no crash reporting baked into the app.

Data handled when you purchase

Estura is sold through the Mac App Store. When you make a purchase, Apple processes your payment and handles your card details — we never see or store payment information.

Apple provides Estura with a receipt confirming that a purchase was made, which is stored locally on your Mac and used only to verify your access. Apple does not share your email address or payment details with us as part of this transaction.

If you contact us for support (for example at our support address), we receive your email address and whatever you choose to put in the message, and we keep it only as long as needed to help you.

If you join our waitlist on the website, we collect the email address you submit (delivered to us via the email service Resend) so we can tell you about updates. You can ask us to remove it at any time.

What we don't do

No in-app analytics, telemetry, advertising, or third-party tracking.

No selling or renting of personal data — ever.

No Estura account, profile, or behavioral history.

Your choices

Since Estura stores data only locally, you can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling Estura or removing its folder from ~/Library/Application Support/. Your API keys can be removed through the app's settings or via macOS System Settings → Passwords.

You can stop all data flow from the app at any time by removing your provider keys or uninstalling Estura — your local files remain yours to keep or delete.

For any personal data associated with a purchase receipt or a support conversation, you can request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we honor those requests.

Changes & contact

We may update this policy as the product evolves; the effective date above will change when we do. For anything privacy-related, contact us at the address below.
